Abstract

The development of this project is part of the instruments proposed by the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) to improve the quality of life of the Ecuadorian population that is in a situation of poverty and extreme poverty, through the program of Inclusion of Life and the Family Comprehensive care centers for children, adolescents and seniors are developed under the following strategies:The use of functional modules to establish an adaptive and fexible system depending on the type of service and attention that this type of centers can offer. The architecture as part of the stimulation, through elements such as color, shade, textures and vegetation, with the aim of projecting feelings of tranquility and freedom.Children’s Centers The design of the children’s center from its frst stage to the third one looks for simplicity and formal and functional cleanliness, each module contains its own green area, area of sandboxes and children’s games, which are linked, organized and divided by linear axes that communica te courtyards plants that through color are hierarchized in the middle of totally clean areas in terms of texture and function. They are made up of spaces for initial education and daily care, recreation, health, nutrition, and the administrative area. In its frst stage its maximum capacity for 52 children is raised, for the second stage it is increased for 52 more children, as well as for the third, the maximum capacity would be for 156 children. Foster Care Centers They are directed for the temporary stay of 40 users among girls, boys and adolescents, the center is made up of recreation and entertainment areas, areas for food, education, permanence and rest. They generate spaces that welcome, where users can inhabit them with the perception of calm, security and comfort, in addition to the sense of belonging. Comprehensive Care Centers for the Elderly It is designed based on the maximum group that can work with older adults as established by the MIES which is 80 users. For the design of the appropriate spaces, physical, auditory, tactile and olfactory changes were taken into account, through sensory keys applied by: The quantity and quality of light, the use of color, contrast of lights and shadows, security, privacy , and accessibility.
