Resumen : In the present study, the design and construction of a weaving machine that allows making natural or synthetic fiber cords is developed, the scope of the present is the development of new yarn combinations and thus deliver diverse products for the textile industry; as a basis, the natural fibers such as pita, abaca and wool were investigated, however, they inquired about the types of machines, fabrics, national and foreign references, consulted in repositories of other universities and about patents that served as the basis for designing machine For the development of the design, it was based on the Bruno Munari methodology and the Datum selection method that was used for the selection of the proposals and alternatives, this focused on the development of the structure of the frame and the weaving system are the main features which were drawn with the software AutoCAD, resulting in the construction of the needle bed internal, not mobile and the numbering gauge 2.5 inches which is the innovation in the cord weaving machine. The structure is made of hardened steel, the outer aluminum casing has the peculiarity of turning on its own axis and contains a thread guide that accepts between 1 to 4 Nm that allows using various natural fiber yarns such as linen, wool, cabuya, pita, sisal or synthetics such as polyester, nylon. It was also designed and printed the user manual in which is the procedure to weave, the maintenance of the machine and solutions of possible errors. As the most relevant conclusions, it was obtained that the thread guide being inside the external cylinder works with greater slack since it feeds the needle in a more precise way preventing the fibers from becoming entangled and producing faults in the tissue; the gauge of the needle allows the use of fibers of greater fineness; The fiber that is worked with greater ease is wool, but in the case of pita and abaca, there are problems in the fabric since they are fibers with irregularities in their structure; in terms of the speed of the yarn guide cylinder is set at 13.5 rpm and the producer cylinder or tiratelas at 3 rpm generating a production capacity of 60 cm in one hour
