Desarrollo del software de gestión de ocupación, disponibilidad y habilitación de camas hospitalarias para el hospital San Vicente de Paúl de la ciudad de Ibarra

Abstract

The use of the bed as a unit of measurement is increasingly criticized, since it offers a vision in terms of capacity rather than in terms of activity. Bed management is very important because it is a parameter widely used in hospital management, administrative, technical and financial level Bed management refers to the constant concern of the respective staff, which requires a lot of time and can become a source of friction by: managing incomes and discharges, by reconciling the scheduled and urgent activity, and when preparing the reports. The present work is made up of five chapters. In Chapter I, the theoretical framework explains a brief history of the San Vicente de Paul hospital, the description of each tool that was used for the development of the present project as well as the description of the software development using XP methodologies. In Chapter II, the diagnosis on bed management is described, for the implementation it was necessary to carry out interviews and surveys that allow to know the point of view of those who form the Nursing Coordination of the Hospital "San Vicente de Paul", to collect data and determine requirements and requirements for the development of the system. In Chapter III, it covers the software development process. Where the needs that must be supplied by the information system that was developed are specified, the functional and non-functional requirements that are to be met are identified with the help of information gathering techniques, diagramming and international standards for the purpose. Chapter IV describes the functional reference of the system through a user manual that details each process for each user. In Chapter V the impacts of the project are analyzed according to the processes that were automated, in which the academic, technological, social and general impacts were determined.
